Economic Development is the creation of wealth from which community benefits are realized. It is more than a jobs program, it's an investment in growing our economy and enhancing the prosperity and quality of life for all residents. As an example of our Economic Development we have started two businesses in downtown Princess Anne, Maryland.
A community garden is a joint effort amongst interested parties to create a green space where all people involved share part of the upkeep and garden rewards. Many different groups of people may come together to form such a garden.
We match mentors with young people who need or want a caring, responsible adult in their lives. We volunteer through a community-, school, or church-based social service program.

The CROPA Youth Mentorship program provides positive adult mentors to help kids and teens have a brighter future. Having steady, positive influences at key times in a child’s life can lead to increased confidence and self-esteem, improved academic performance and relationships, and can help a child realize their true potential.

The CROPA Business Roundtable is an association of CEOs of leading Somerset County companies working to promote sound public policy and a thriving local economy. We believe companies have an obligation to be part of the solution — whether we’re talking about social equity, climate change, or navigating a pandemic. Businesses have a role in society.
The Community Roundtable consists of local community leaders and members. We know community because community is all we do. We know what a day in the life of our neighbors looks like because our members are living it. We know the challenges our community faces because we are the community, and we aim to solve the challenges we’re facing today.
The Nonprofit Roundtable is an educational, networking, and collaboration event series. Social sector professionals are able to network with one another, discuss common challenges, share helpful resources, and find opportunities to collaborate. Professionals are presented with discussion topics, guest experts, and Q&A.
